White weddings will never go out of style, they are gorgeous and classic, yet many couples still want to mix it up a bit. An all-white wedding is classically elegant, however when you consider you are planning decor for a ceremony, cocktail hour and a reception, there is an opportunity to add little accents to each that will make them unique and we can do this with little splashes of color.
Here are some ideas to add touches of color to your all-white wedding floral.
Celadon green has become a popular new “color” and there are so many varieties of green flowers on the market now. Green cymbidiums, super green roses, green tea roses, green Fiji mums, green kermit buttons, green hydrangea, green viburnum and green dendrobiums are all really fun and vibrant! It’s almost like it isn’t a “color” and compliments the all white wedding beautifully.
Another option I love is to add in a touch of champagne. The only true champagne hued flowers available are roses, which are gorgeous. I suggest using Quicksand or Sahara. Both are gorgeous and they add “warmth” to an all white wedding.
When it comes to choosing your white flowers, consider a variety of shades from white to ivory. Most “white” flowers are in this color palette, really. But if you use all the shades of white to ivory you can create a little more texture and depth to the wedding flowers.
